Nothing says summer like chilled watermelon and eating it pool-side!
Well, that and watermelon kisses....
That one is for the photo albums, for sure! These cousins are precious!

We like to wear these children out when we can! They have LOTS of energy!
To solve this problem, we made an obstacle course with side walk chalk to have them run through!
At the finish line, they had to hug each other!
Pretty good way to try to tire them out and work on following direction-skills!

We had a BEAUTIFUL Easter here in SC! In our family Easter means so much to us! It's a day were we honestly and excitedly proclaim that our God is more powerful than death itself! This week, as I was reading in God's word, I was reminded that this belief is foolishness to the world, but God says that the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men (1 Cor. 1:25). If Jesus had NOT risen from the dead, he would not be more powerful than anyone. He would have been a mere man, but the fact that he is risen, well THAT is a God that can do anything! Praise Him!
We hope you had a beautiful Easter, too!
Cai looked so adorable in this handmade bowtie from Thatcher's 1st bow tie party! These were Mer's favors for her Little Man party!
When we gave Cai his Easter basket, we told him that we were giving him this gift, because God gave us an even greater gift when Jesus rose from the dead! He gave us VICTORY in Jesus and THAT is something to proclaim to all the world!
In it was a Bubble gun (because he LOVES bubbles), some eggs with candy inside, and a book about Joseph and his coat of many colors, as well as, a sweet edition of a letter written from his daddy.
This letter was the sweetest letter you can imagine and I almost cried watching him read it to Cai. While he was reading, I thought to myself, "Aw, I love my husband so much... but I want a letter, too!"
Hart rushed out the door to church. I went straight to the coffee pot and lo and behold, my sweet husband had NOT forgotten about me either. Sitting right next to the coffee pot was my OWN sweet letter written to me from my sweet husband. Seriously. I love him.
We spent Easter lunch with Hart's Aunt and Uncle on the Traylor side (delicious and fun!) and then enjoyed getting into some freezing cold pool water (72 degrees! yikes!) and soaking up the sun!
Cai loves his MiMi's pool fountain!
The girls brave enough to face the water! The boys had none of it!
We filled a small bucket up and the babies played and played with pool diving toys the entire time!
We also did Easter egg hunts with the children, which they really enjoyed! And boy are they good at finding them! They LOVED the candy being hidden inside! We also put some scripture verses inside of the eggs and read them as they found them!
Happy Easter! He is risen!

It was HOT HOT HOT today! We are all worried we are going to have a blazing hot summer with how hot it already is in SC! Naomi and Cai had a BLAST playing in the sprinkler together to beat the heat!!!
It all started with a boy being a boy and basically him wanting to be IN his MiMi's pool... 62 degree water? Not quite for this mama!
Naomi came out and got splashed right away... a little too cold at first!
We made the sprinkler a baby sprinkler with a little less agua spraying out and it was PERFECT for both of them!
It didn't take long for Naomi to love it, too!
So fun, right!? And isn't Naomi adorable in this little tutu suit! Jeez, I want a girl! haha! I don't think Cai would look so hot in a tutu!

I monogrammed a couple of little shirts for Naomi this past week and wanted to take some pictures of her in them for my Designs By Sessa blog, but also, just take some of Naomi and Micaiah together...as if I haven't already taken enough! You can never have enough! I hope you enjoy them!
Somehow, I'm ending up to be the family photographer... not sure how that is happening.... haha! (that was a joke!)
Micaiah's old man shoes make me laugh here!
Poor little guy got a fever from his shots at his 17 month appointment! He wasn't feeling too well this day, but some of his personality came out anyways!
I really can't believe they are already so grown up! Naomi is a little lady and Cai is such a little man already! Tell them to stop growing so fast!

Bath time with TWO busy toddlers is hilarious!
There's quite a lot of splashing!
And some cuteness...
And some MOHAWKS!
Does this next caption of this next picture not fit perfectly?

Uh, mom...so how's my hair? Alright?
How's that for bath time!? Pretty entertaining, huh!?

First off, Naomi had long enough hair this visit for pig tails... um, really...? It was pretty adorable!
I love them! haha!
During the day, we would put on music and the kids would just DANCE! Micaiah impressed us with some pretty awesome little hip bumps!
Then, there was more hugs, of course!
More getting giggy-with-it!
"Dig in, dig in, dig in...like you're looking for GOLD!" (Nuggets of gold from the Sovereign Grace Kids cd)
I'm telling you... some dips and a little bouncin'... this boy has some moves!
Nothing like a little yoga afterwards to stretch out the muscles! We would tell Naomi to "Do her stretch" and this is what she would do! haha!
No dance would be complete without a tackle to the floor...
Whew! What a dance!!!
