Hart's 28th Birthday

5.01.2013

Hart turns 28 on Friday, May 3rd! Hannah and Mike came down this week, so last night we celebrated Hart's birthday dinner a little early with family and some friends!
The kids wanted to put their feet in the pool.
Well, you know how that goes...
Before long they were DRENCHED in  the 71 degree pool water! Clothes sopping wet!
Pure bliss!
They loved throwing these duckies into the pool and asking us to retrieve them with the pool net skimmer!

Turner got some love from Mrs. Gail AND his doggy Bailey!

We ate a delicious birthday dinner of Hart's choosing: Palmetto Cheese hamburgers, sweet potato fries, fruite, and of course his favorite cake ever... Home-made German Chocolate Cake made with love by ME! I make this fancy cake every year from scratch for my love! He would eat the whole thing if I'd let him!
It was a special time!

Happy Birthday, HART!!!! We love YOU!

Happy 27th Birthday, Hart!!!

5.07.2012

Hart had quite the birthday week! It started with Hannah, Mike and Naomi coming down for a night to celebrate! Of course, this post starts off all about the babies... they are looking less like babies, but I can still call them that until we actually HAVE more babies!
They enjoyed a kiddie pool next to the big pool and who knew a  crate would be so much fun!
That night we celebrated by eating a great dinner prepared by Jane and Harry for Hart! His own menu: grilled burgers with all the fixin's, sweet potato fries, and mac n cheese!
I made Hart his favorite home-made German Chocolate Cake again this year, which he loved! And then he got showered with love!
On Hart's actually birthday, this past Thursday night, we went to dinner at Carolina Wings with my family. We didn't realize that Thursday night is Trivia night at Carolina wings, so we had a BLAST playing trivia! We almost won the entire thing, but missed the final!!! Drats!
Even though my brother Hunter couldn't be with us, we still called him for Trivia questions! It was so fun!

And just when you thought the fun was over, Charlie, Hart's best friend threw him a surprise pizza party at work! Cai and I went and it really was a surprise for Hart!
We had a great week celebrating this wonderful husband, daddy, and friend! We love you HART!!!
Looking good in the birthday shirt my mama gave him!!! Wishing you many more, my love!

Hart's 26th Birthday!

5.02.2011

Tomorrow is Hart's 26th birthday! I'm so thankful for this man. When we met in 2005 in college, I had such a crush, because he was so cute and then to find out how much of a godly man he was...I'm a truly blessed woman to have such an amazing man as my husband!

To be honest, I'm the world's worst at birthdays. I always forget. I always send cards and gifts late. In fact, I don't really even say Happy Birthday to people on Facebook, even though it reminds me daily who has a birthday. It took me like 3 years to even remember the day of Hart's birthday. Last year, we celebrated Hart's birthday, but I didn't get around to actually making his birthday cake until almost 3 months later. Yes, I am THAT bad. It really isn't my gifting and I feel completely horrible that I forget other people's birthdays and I do want to change it. But, even with calendars on google, I really struggle with them.

Hart on the other hand is probably THE best at birthdays. He remembers them. He really should be in charge of all of our friends' birthdays and the card sending, because he is the thoughtful one!

I do declare though, that Hart WILL have his birthday cake ON his birthday this year. He loves GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE and I make it completely from scratch. It is probably the hardest cake I know how to make, but I love him and I want him to have a GREAT birthday!

And to everyone else who has a birthday out there...please know I love you and if I could remember them, then you would get your gifts and cards on time. Until that happens....don't hold it against me!!!!!

Hart's 25th Fiesta Birthday!

5.06.2010

Hart celebrated his 25th birthday on May 3rd! We had a great time celebrating with friends and family over the weekend! Our Community Group from church was having a backyard BBQ. We themed the get-together an early Cinco de Mayo party/Hart's birthday...we should have sang to my friend Carla, too because hers was just a few days earlier, but we didn't! Sorry sweet friend! I asked my friend Candice to come with her family, but they already had a pool party that evening. Candice made our wedding cake and it was beautiful! She used to be my boss when I was a student worker at USC! Anyways, I asked her if she would be willing to make a Fiesta themed cake in honor of our party and Hart's bday (even though I promised Hart I would make his German Chocolate cake as soon as I had time!). This cute cake was the result! How festive, right!? She can do pretty much anything you want and uses fondant icing! So let me know if you ever need a cake, cuz she is amazing!

The funny thing was...out of the two of us... I'm the Spanish major... haha! We decided to sing to Hart in Spanish and we got it all on video. It struck me as so funny that Hart would have a Spanish themed birthday! Anyways, enjoy!
