Henley Hoodie & Pants Baggies: KCWC 2012

10.08.2012

*** OOPS... I mixed up the blogs again! Haha! Totally clicked on the wrong one! I hope all you peeps enjoy my sewing for once! ha! ***

I realize it seems like I'm pumping hand-made clothing out the wazoo lately, but I promise you I've had a few projects started and am finally to the "finishing". This is technically my Boy's Week for PR&P challenge (the ER visit, stomach bug, etc prevented me from finishing), but now it's my KCWC Day 1! Or... maybe KCWC. period. I need some motivation to sew this week, ha!

I downsized, or *upcycled*, a men's henley (previously Cai's Pop's shirt) in a similar fashion to my Hawaii Five O vneck. The blank slate basics Vintage V-neck has been an amazing "block" pattern piece for me to work from for Cai's clothes. Having a good "block pattern" to work from is key!
I added a hoodie pocket and the hoodie itself, making it match my already sewn Baggies.
The pants version of the baggies are actually the very first pair I made for Cai for PR&P guest post over the summer, however they were WAY too big. I finally got around to adjusting them to fit him this Fall.

He looks so BIG BOY in that photo up there!
I have a tutorial coming for how to downsize a men's henley to a boy henley! I will get on that after KCWC is over!
Thanks for reading!
