As I said in my last post ("Runnin'"), in this post I'll tell you about some sweet headphones I got, and also introduce you to the world of barefoot running. Well in this post today I'm going to share with you about the headphones...
Motorola S305 Bluetooth Headphones
I've never been a fan of earbud headphones. I seriously can be sitting in a chair, not moving, and those type of headphones will still fall out of my ears. At some point early on while we were dating Vanessa gave me headphones for my birthday that hooked around my ears. They were perfect! They couldn't fall out! Life was good!
When I started running recently, there were a couple times where my hand would accidentally hit the cord to my headphones and almost pull my iPod off the treadmill. (I like to set the iPod up in front of me so I can see the timer and notices) Then one day the inevitable happened. While running, my hand caught the cord and pulled my iPod off and sent it crashing to the ground. Thankfully my iPod came away unscathed. Unfortunately, my headphones weren't as lucky.
Remember, my headphones were hooked around my ears...so they aren't coming off. As the iPod fell it tightened the headphone cords and then ripped the headphones from my iPod. In the process of that happening, the headphones somehow got a short in the wires, and the left earphone became much inaudible. Sadly I had to throw them away.
Now at some point during one of those first times I almost knocked my iPod off I wondered to myself how much wireless or bluetooth headphones would cost, but didn't look into it. After this sad event I began pricing bluetooth headphones. From all the reviews I read, the most popular headphones that had the best ratings started in the 80 dollar range and went well up over 100....definitely something I couldn't get at first. I decided that I would just go by a $15 pair of headphones like I had and would ask for bluetooth headphones for my birthday in May.
However, a few nights later I just happened to get on Amazon and searched for headphones, and the Motorola S305 (one of the headphones I was interested in that was normally $100) was on sale for $37! And let me tell you, they are great! The sound quality has been very good. I haven't had any issues with them. What's also neat about them is they have a built in microphone, so I can also use it with my phone.
Anyways, if you are in the market for good bluetooth headphones/microphone, I would definitely recommend this item. It's for sale on Amazon fro $39 right now, so now is a good time to get them too!
Oh, by the way, check out Micaiah sporting them...
Keep your eye out for my next post in the next few days where I share with you about barefoot running!
