My First Sewing Project!

Today, some friends from church and I got together to learn how to sew! My friend, Carla, taught us how to sew a pillow! She made it super fun and easy! We all felt empowered and I felt like a true Proverbs 31 woman! It definitely made me want to invest in a sewing machine so that I can do other projects like curtains. By the time the baby comes, I have the goal to make things for the nursery! Anyways, check out my creation below!

The fabric was just a plain khaki and I knew it needed something! We had the idea to put a button in the center and make it a little tufted! I am super pleased with the results!

Now... curtains for the living room and kitchen and bathroom.....
