Morning Sickness

2.12.2010

(Before we told the blog world, I had the urge to write. That's why these are post-dated.)
Written 2/6/10:

My first Morning Sickness hit the night before I turned 6 weeks pregnant. I had started to feel nauseous around dinner time, so by 8:30 Hart put me into the bed, and he prayed over me. It was the sweetest prayer, in which, he asked the Lord to spare me from throwing up during pregnancy because my body cannot handle throwing up for more than 2 hours before I have to get IV fluids due to dehydration. I fell asleep until about 11:50 p.m. when I rushed to the toilet only to find myself gagging, nothing more! Ever since then, the worst times I have had have been just gagging. I'm so thankful that I haven't thrown up, but I know that right now I am only in the middle of my 7th week and I have about 7 more to go before I am in the clear of when most stop having it! However, I still get so nauseous that sometimes all I can do is lie on the couch or take a nap. Just now, I grabbed a Ginger Ale to calm my tummy and am trying to relax!

--------

So I have to admit, that I did throw-up once since I wrote this, but I think it was more to do with the fact that my doctor put me on a different prenatal vitamin. Mostly, I just feel kind of gross and have plenty of food aversions. I hardly ever want to cook at home and mostly eating out and the choices of food there are what I desire. We have been eating out more than usual, which is not good for the budget, but I am thinking that this isn't going to last much longer and soon I will be back to wanting to cook in my own kitchen like normal. Especially as my energy level increases and I do not feel so sick as often!
