Ever had a God-moment?

2.07.2010

Today, Hart did music for our church, so I had to drive seperately. I try not to dislike this aspect of him doing worship music, because the music team does such a great job praising the Lord! However, I cannot help the flow of memories that sometimes try to discourage me and remind me of the past 2 years when Hart worked for our past church and how separate worship became between the two of us! Hart only does music every other week, so really this is not a big deal AT ALL, and I still get to sit with him during church.

Anyways, back to my story:

I had to drive separate from Hart to our church, Columbia Crossroads Downtown, held about 15 miles in the country outside of Columbia while our building is getting finished. Not so Dowtown, but almost!

After church, Hart had me follow him. I turned out off one country-side road onto a larger road, but my tire hit the hole next to the road and I was like, "OUCH! That could of hurt!" But, I continued on my merry way back home, down the interstate going about 70 mph, until I was stopped at a stop light and a lady in a car next to mine rolled down her window and mouthed that I had a flat tire! I mouthed "Thank-you!" and called Hart who was in front of me. My mind was going, "Really, I have a flat tire? But I was just driving 70 mph down the interstate and nothing happened!!!!"

That was my God moment! It could have been only by the hand of God that nothing, absolutely nothing went wrong until I was on my exit 2 miles from my house! God truly protected me from anything going wrong that could have been really bad. He is so good and such a care giver to those he loves! I just had to stop and give thanks to HIM for how he provides and protects constantly.

Psalm 121 (selections)
"I lift up my eyes to the hills,
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made Heaven and earth.

The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from evil;
he will keep your life.
The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and forevermore. "
