We had three perfect days with family. It was truly a blessing to be together and to have two little babies both the same age! Everyone kept marveling at how blessed we really were. We couldn't imagine not having the two together and the sovereignty of God was truly remarkable!
When we first met Naomi, Micaiah just started to smile immediately! It was the sweetest thing! It was like he just knew that this was his cousin! We took TONS of pictures of every little thing that they did. They would play together on the baby gym, we dressed them up in Huggies Jean Diapers and did a photo shoot, we took family pictures, we took pictures of them in coordinating outfits, pictures of them holding hands. I'm sure they are going to look back and think we went overboard! haha!
Another remarkable thing, was that since both of them are on a 3 hour routine, Naomi being on West Coast time -3 hrs later, it was like they were synchronized! Micaiah would wake up at 7am and then we would do our first nap here at home, then pack up and head over to The Traylors around 10:30, when Naomi was waking up for the day. Then all day long they would be awake together, go down for a nap at the same time, and literally, they would wake up at nearly the same minute. Our baby monitors would go off almost simultaneously while Hannah and I were sitting in the living room and we would look at each other and laugh. I would put Micaiah to bed at 7pm and then we would have Naomi's last 3 hours with just her! It was so fun! I wasn't sure how it would work out if they would constantly be missing one another or what, but even that was covered by God's grace!
As I write this, I am uploading pictures of our time together on facebook, so I will do my next post with pictures and include the link for you all to see the album!
