I want to remember today. I want to remember how you didn't seem to feel well, so you took bad naps. How I cuddled you in my arms and rocked you until you fell asleep. How you sucked your little thumb and curled yourself into a little ball pressed up against my chest. How I sat holding you, praying for you, wondering what kind of man you would grow up to be. I want to remember, because I know time will make me forget. You are my precious son and I love you more than words can say.
